Analysing sites is not what I expect from this subject. I want to learn how to design my own teaching materials; what should I have in mind while preparing or adapting reading material; how to use songs, videos, tv series, movies, tales, to teach or revise different topics; among others. I also want to know which other programs and softwares can be used in teaching.
How to create a Blog, how to use Foxit Reader, Edmodo and Google Docs were very profitable and interesting things to learn. I hope we will go on learning these kind of resources.
Sabri I don't agree with you on this. I think that it is important to evaluate web sites in order to know if the source is reliable. It is useful to know some web pages where you can find interesting things because it's not that easy to google to get material. In my case, I'm teaching present perfect and it's very difficult for me to find tasks that don't seem artificial or that could fit my students.
ResponderEliminarAldana, I agree with you on the usefulness of knowing websites where we can find interesting materials or tools that can help us when teaching. But I think that we can be given that information (the addresses of the websites) so when we need to find something we can go to those sites and see if we can use some of the resources. I believe we should learn how to create the tasks, or how to adapt the information given by the websites, or how to use different computer programs to improve our teaching instead of analysing websites.

EliminarHi, girls! Sabrina, what do you mean by "we can be given that information"? If you are going to be teachers soon, who will give you that info later on? Who is supposed to carry out the analysis of all the material that is available online for you? In my opinion, what you should be given is not the info, but the tools to be able to analyse online material yourselves and, in that way, you will be able to decide whether it is worth adapting or not... I know I won't make you change your mind but I needed to give it a try!!! See you!
